Steig Larsson - The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest

REview by showhost on show 12th August
In this the final book of the Trilogy, it picks up from exactly where it left off in the previous book (the girl who played with fire). Lisbeth Salander is in hospital having major surgery to remove a bullet from her head, but the net is closing in.
Salander is under close guard but her father, who too was seriously wounded from the axe which Salander put in his head, is just down the corridor plotting revenge.
Her other enemies are out to get her locked away for good, they can falsify facts, bury important information and kill those who may get in their way.
Michael Blomkvist is the only one who knows what really happened and he starts to gather evidence to prove that Slander has been the subject of gross injustice by the state over many years.
He and the Millenium Magazine staff are running against time before the trial of Salander starts.
there is so much in this book that to reivew it fully would take too long and give away too much of the incredible story.
Suffice to say that it is a culmination of all 3 books in a powerful, brilliant read.
So sad that there will not be anymore. Larsson is such a loss to the literary world and the character of Salander was a touch of genius!
