"Following a 7 year battle with cancer, Jane Tomlinson died at the age of 43 in September 2007. Almost exactly one year earlier on 1st September 2006 Jane finished a gruelling 9 week, 3,700 mile cycle ride from the west coast to the east coast of America.
The book written mostly by Jane before her death was completed by Mike to give an incredible and moving insight to his wife's final days".
Cath reviewed this book because being a marathon runner and cyclist herself, she knows how incredibly hard it is for a relatively fit and healthy person to compete and perform. She has nothing but admiration for Jane who ran the marathons and did previous cycling journeys whilst undergoing treatment for cancer. Sadly Jane leaves behind a young son and daughter.
As other reviewers of this book have said "it made me sit back and think "what have I done with my life?"
