John Gilstrap - Nathan’s Run

Review by Brian Lowen on show 8th April
A high security juvenile detention centre is the scene of a savage killing.

Twelve year old Nathan Bailey is accused of murdering a cop as he manages to escape from the detention centre and goes on the run.

He becomes the target of a nationwide manhunt. To stay alive Nathan can only count on his agility, courage and natural cleverness. The boy’s honesty proves a formidable weapon as he endears himself to the Bitch, a national radio talk show host and he pleads his case to a rapt nation.

But nevertheless an army of police and a dogged contract killer, disguised as a cop, draw ever closer as Nathan tries to keep one step ahead all the time.

A very good thriller with the tension building to a dramatic finale.
A good read – thoroughly recommended.
