show 8th April

Guests on the show this week are Brian Lowen and Lesley Jones. Books under the cosh are Peter James The Truth plus John Gilstrap's Nathan's Run.
Also Jodi Picoult Change of Heart and Harlan Coben Drop Shot.
Well I’ve still got my blocked up nose, this has been over a week now but there seems lots of people with sore throats or sinusitis hope you two are managing to keep fit and healthy.
So Brian you tell me you have converted Babs Simpson into a Peter James fan – I will def have to read one. Suggested similar authors for Peter James: John Connolly, Dean Koontz, Graham Hurley. Also, good reviews for John Gilstrap.
Lesley, the Jodi Picoult book is very controversial but there are a lot of angry people out there who say it is a rip-off of Stephen Kings Green Mile? I gotta say I remember seeing the movie with Tom Hanks in starring role, it was an amazing film about the big gentle giant accused of murdering those 2 girls in 1932. The reviews on this book were glowing which wasn't the case with Picoult, they were Marmite - 'love it or hate it'.
So, what are your favourites out of the '10 books of the decade' on the Love Reading website?
Lesley's fav was 'The Shadow of the Wind' by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, a beautifully written book, she said.
Brians fav was The Kite Runner.
